What our Patrons are saying:"We've attended many art fairs across the country over the years, and Art in the High Desert is quite simply the best of all! The work is of such high quality and so different from what we are used to seeing."

Stories Behind The Arts
In the meantime, here are some of the artist’s stories from the 2011 show. As summer approaches we will be adding stories from this year’s artists.

Steve Harmston
Avoiding high tech equipment, Steve continues to stay true to processes utilized from generations past to bring vibrant images to life.
Ask Steve what a serigraph is….he knows. Its an amazing process involving a large number of hand-cut screens. The hard problem is deciding which one should be yours.

Carol Lebreton
“I can trace my love for this material to a single event at age eleven: I touched a vein of soft yielding clay on the side of a freshly cut dirt road.”
What Carol does with this clay is amazing. To visit with her, see her work and hear her singing bowls come to AHD August 26, 27, 28th, 2011.

Terry Evans
“The artist’s world is often driven by obsessions. One such obsessions that motivates me – the desire to create objects of distinction.”
First thought that comes to mind when viewing Terry’s work…How does he do it? Second thought, I want to own one. Terry will be at this year’s Art in the High Desert.

John Fields
John was on a course to end up in the corporate world when he took a stained-glass class while studying business at the University of Arkansas.
Looking at the colors in John’s work you’re sure he lives in the high desert. He does not. But his beautiful glass needs a place in your home.
Visit him and other fine artists at this year’s AHD.
