Highly Acclaimed Artists Return to Central Oregon
Some of the best artists from around the country and Canada will be in Bend, Oregon August 28-30, 2009 for the second annual Art in the High Desert Festival. These professional artists will represent a variety of mediums as they showcase their work for sale.
The Festival, a creation of Central Oregon artists, has already established a reputation for being an outstanding fine art and craft event in the country.
“The key to the success of the event is certainly due to the participation from incredibly talented artists,” explained Carla Fox, the Festival director. “This year nearly 400 working artists in 14 different mediums applied. This presented a huge challenge to narrow the field to just 110 presenting artists. However, the end result assures that Festival patrons will once again have the opportunity to see and buy the best art to be found anywhere.”
The festival in 2009 will once again emphasize a wide spectrum of art that includes ceramics, glasswork, painting, photography, sculpture, jewelry, glass, wood, furniture and more.
